Hello /seacats/ this time I would like to propose a gameboard quite different from the rest, in this gameboard you have to prove that a Witch did it, instead of solving a mystery

Some of the rules are the following:
>You can only explain magic with characters from Umineko. therefore if none of the characters can do certain things, its a blue you can't use

>I will use a modified Van dine and Knox, which means instead of forbidding magic and supernatural things, they will forbide human and science things.

This gameboard is to that you can give up and accept that WITCHES don't exist.

if someone is interested I will explain everything with more details.

Alright, I'll bite. Sounds like it'll be a test of imagination rather than logic, in a sense. I'll test my imagination any day.

The Idea is you have to play as a hated Character and defend yourself in court and it wouldn't be based on Umineko without Umineko Characters like Erika and Dlanor who are the prosecution against the defense and defendants Vernon and Petunia Dursley oh and Beatrice and Maria took the entire courtroom of people to the metaverse for this trial

Charges:
Embezzlement, Acomplese to murder, Tampering with the crime scene, Abuse(Of Harry Potter), and Murder(Of Harry Potter)

Evidence:
Fabricated Police Files, Body whereabouts(Of Harry, Lily, and James) Unknown, Testimony of the Killer, Testimony of the Dead, Testimony of Friends, House Search, and Other Murders directed at People the Dursley's know

Other Deaths:
Marge Dursley, Teachers at Dudley Dursley's old Elementry, Grunning Executives, Dudley Dursley's Friends, Pivet Drive Residents, and Dudley Dursley Himself

anyone can play however there are rules

Prosecution(Erika and Dlanor): must watch the embedded video, must prove all charges true

Welcome to a new game of mine.

This one will be played between me and a single opponent (I don't recall what they went by on this site earlier, or if they wish to go under a different name, should they choose to). The rules for the game are listed below.

So, without further ado:

Well no freaking idea how to approach the second locked room so let's just put that one off for later.

Bet 1 chip
The 'HA HA HA' had been written on the door before everyone grouped up, but wasn't yet visible when Shannon and George checked.
The culprit used some sort of trick paint to delay its visibility.

The 'HA HA HA' had not existed on Kinzo's door when the door was looked at by Shannon and George as they searched the third floor! Of course, neither of the two could've written the text at the time without the other noticing!

Well damn, that one makes things a whole lot more complicated.
I'll uh, save that one for later as well.

Bet 1 chip
The skull key in the pot was not the same object as the key Battler found earlier.

A short side-game open for everyone. A standard red v blue, no special rules. But by this point my dislike of shotgunning should be pretty clear, so... do try to avoid that, if at all possible.

I don't really have much of a foreword so we might as well get into it right away:

LEAP OF THE GOLDEN WITCH

___________________________________________

As usual, a few guarantees to start out with:

The narrator has an objective point of view. The narrator can, of course, be deceived.
There can only be one culprit.
There are no accomplices allowed.
An accomplice is someone who willingly and knowingly assists the culprit in the execution of their plans.
This story features no supernatural elements.

almost tempted to just say "no" in red and leave it at that tbh

Everyone was able to identify the rooms they were in. The Ushiromiyas pride themselves on situational awareness when out of meta scenes, don't y'know?

Battler pushed Kinzo out his window either right after dinner or later when Jessica was busy looking through her room. (wouldn't take that long if the study is nearby.) Kinzo either had some condition that made it hard to speak so he could not call for help or simply chose not to do so.
Anyway, Kinzo managed to hold on the the windowsill outside and ultimately fell when others heard his scream.
The reason Battler kept checking his watch was to make sure he'd have it right for his alibi. When going back, the idea occurred to him to knock on the door to the study and use ventriloquism to make it seem like Kinzo was still alive. Outside he quickly opened his umbrella to make sure Jessica wouldn't see Kinzo above them.

There's no way Kinzo's voice would've reached Battler and Jessica, had he been speaking to them from outside of the window of his study.

Let's get around that:

Before arriving at the guesthouse, (Battler/Jessica/George/Maria/Nanjo/Kanon/Shannon) went upstairs in the mansion and pushed Kinzo out of the window of a second floor room (not the study). Kinzo did not fall to the ground though - he caught onto some features immediately outside the window. The window of that other room remained open, so Kinzo's voice could come through, to be heard by B&J.

A bit before 8:40, he finally fell screaming, crawled to the entrance and died.

in the words of the famous poet

Ozaki

...Close enough. The two theories answer the questions I would've raised for them individually and it would've been pretty obvious.

Battler pushed Kinzo out of a random window in the mansion. Kinzo broke a fuckton of bones and as stated in the red wouldn't have been able to speak. But he was alive. Battler, at the time, believed him to be dead.

When Jessica suggested to go to get games, he agreed, to check if anyone had found Kinzo's body. It was only as they were about to leave that the thought occured to him that he could maybe create the illusion that Kinzo was still alive. If he did that, and stayed with the cousins, with Jessica there to witness Kinzo's voice, he would've had a perfect alibi for when Kinzo's body was eventually found.

So, as he knocked the door, Battler used his ventriloquism skills to imitate Kinzo's voice. The first time, Jessica didn't his lips move properly because she was scared of Kinzo and because they'd both, as Battler put it, "jumped", making it harder to see those tiny lip movements. The second time, Battler had already turned his head to the door, making it even harder to see his face. (Whether he'd turned his back to Jessica or just was showing a side of his face is, I think, irrelevant, since Jessica's attention would've been focused more on the door anyway.)

Shortly after they left the mansion, Kinzo had crawled to the front of the door. Weak and exhausted, and feeling he was going to die,

I’m opening a new game for anyone who wishes to try and solve it. The more the merrier.

This game is slightly different than most of my gameboards but will be fairly simple. This thread will act as the tearoom and I will dictate what is happening on the gameboard level. After I make a post with [Discussion Open] in it you will be allowed to post your thoughts and ask me questions.

During this time you may even make blue theories however just like in the novel I won’t be obligated to answer in until the end of the game where you will be tasked to explain all the mysteries. I ask you don’t write up a huge analysis in one post for the discussion segments so we can address individual points more easily.

I will post [End of Discussion] once we have decided to move on and I will continue posting the rest of the story until the next one or the end of the game. As you can expect the goal is simple but traditional; you have to explain the events on the gameboard using humans means before the end of the final debate.

There will likely be a real life time-limit to the final debate in order to prevent the game from dragging on too long. The pain of not knowing the answer will continue if you fail to solve it.

The difficulty is… well I usually only make one of those for serious games. This game is very loose to say the least.

The first part will be posted in the upcoming days.

I'm not sure which one of us is more desperate at this point but one thing's for sure

we both want this game to end

Can do.

THE END

Okay but really I'm burnt out. What am looking for is the name of the who, why you suspect them (ie something suggests they could be the culprit), and how they could have done the murders. Most of the murders are solved so that isn't as big as a deal. Anyone can pm me on discord their one shot theory, if someone gets it to a reasonable degree human side wins.

Alright so Deadon managed to solve enough of it for me to grant the human side a win.

I’ll explain the solution.
