I’m opening a new game for anyone who wishes to try and solve it. The more the merrier.

This game is slightly different than most of my gameboards but will be fairly simple. This thread will act as the tearoom and I will dictate what is happening on the gameboard level. After I make a post with [Discussion Open] in it you will be allowed to post your thoughts and ask me questions.

During this time you may even make blue theories however just like in the novel I won’t be obligated to answer in until the end of the game where you will be tasked to explain all the mysteries. I ask you don’t write up a huge analysis in one post for the discussion segments so we can address individual points more easily.

I will post [End of Discussion] once we have decided to move on and I will continue posting the rest of the story until the next one or the end of the game. As you can expect the goal is simple but traditional; you have to explain the events on the gameboard using humans means before the end of the final debate.

There will likely be a real life time-limit to the final debate in order to prevent the game from dragging on too long. The pain of not knowing the answer will continue if you fail to solve it.

The difficulty is… well I usually only make one of those for serious games. This game is very loose to say the least.

The first part will be posted in the upcoming days.

I'm not sure which one of us is more desperate at this point but one thing's for sure

we both want this game to end

Can do.

THE END

Okay but really I'm burnt out. What am looking for is the name of the who, why you suspect them (ie something suggests they could be the culprit), and how they could have done the murders. Most of the murders are solved so that isn't as big as a deal. Anyone can pm me on discord their one shot theory, if someone gets it to a reasonable degree human side wins.

Alright so Deadon managed to solve enough of it for me to grant the human side a win.

I’ll explain the solution.

Just like Rudolf's. Blue vs Red, come one, come all.

In room A, person A is dead. In room B, person B is dead. Each room has windows which are shut and cannot be manipulated from the outside, and each room has doors which are shut and locked. The two closed room deaths are related to each other in some fashion.

I don't actually know that. Some kind of vehicle, must be?

* Room A is a vehicle.
* Room A is underwater.
* Room A is in air.
* Room A is in space.
(same with A and B switched)

* Person A interacted with the vent of Room A with the intent of moving Room A.

Rooms A and B are and were not airborne, in space, or in or on the water. They cannot be moved by interacting with vents.

So therefore...?

You have the pieces. Tell me what happened.

* Persons A and B were in cars. They drove their cars into each other's, with murderous intent! Both died as result of the collision, through different injuries inflicted upon them by their own cars and its contents.

* The vents have nothing to do with anything, besides that cars tend to have them.

Correct. Persons A and B, enemies who wanted each other dead, drove their cars at each other in a game of chicken, each assuming the other would swerve. Person B was wearing a seatbelt, Person A was not.
Person B died from a broken neck caused from the seatbelt being improperly positioned, and Person A was impaled on the steering column.
The cars ended up mashed together, but the interiors remained separate, and although greatly damaged, the windows did not fall apart. Thereby, two closed rooms.

My congratulations.

Figured a game was in order. It's that time of year, after all.

Simple blue versus red.

I will accept any and all opponents.

A man lies dead in a room. There is 1 door leading outside and it is closed and locked. There is 1 window leading outside and it is closed and locked.

The murderer splashed ammonia into the room. Then the servant came along to clean the room. They used bleach. Chloramine gas was produced. Death.

The culprit could have given both elements or just one of them (the second element was already inside the room) for the unsuspecting victim to bring inside the room with him. The two elements then came in contact through the actions of the victim.

Correct. The culprit induced the victim to open a poisonous bottle of fiber glass resin inside the non-ventilated room.

The fumes from the fluid mixed in with the air and microscopic glass shards tore the victim's lungs apart from the inside. Needless to say the coughing caused contractions which exacerbated the injuries. Coughs heaps of blood on the floor, death very soon followed.

Don't ever believe someone when they tell you its safe to "use some chemical indoors."

"All the mysteries in the setup for this gameboard are thus solved as well! Ange is older because we're decades into the future and you subconsciously made her older! Because I am not Battler, you had to somehow make me relate to her at this older age, and you chose to kill her off to make me feel that loss and then genuine happiness upon reuinting with her! It's the only possible solution, given that the real Ushiromiya Battler wouldn't have known how she would've looked like at an older age!

You removed everyone but Genji in terms of servants probably because you needed a head servant. The others you replaced with maids from Sayo's childhood or something because, no matter how hard you try to remove her from the story, in the end - you needed a servant to be your 'Beatrice'! Even you are bound by the rules of this twisted tale!
"

"Don't fuck with me! As if I'll accept that! Tohya looks exactly like Battler!"

"It's been decades. Sayo's appearance could've been altered. Being originally born male, and being the son of Kinzo, it's only natural that his facial structure would resemble that of Kinzo's at an older age. And if it does -- then it could, by extension, resemble that of Battler!"

"Wh-what about the deformity? That should've been a clear tip-off, shouldn't it have...?! They were the main reason for Sayo's misery! Surely, he would've exhibited signs of her inner darkness during his time with Ikuko!"

"So much of Tohya and his backstory is left in the dark. For all we know, Ikuko could've run him over and he could've suffered lacerations! He could've believed they came from the accident! Because you controlled his memories and hid the truth from him, he would've never known about Sayo's problems! Therefore, he would've never considered him as Sayo! It's also possible that through the years he managed to receive some sort of surgery to fix his problem once and

"Midnight Eulogy"

"...Hey." A voice tells me. "Hey now, wake up."

It sounds... nice.

Comforting.

My eyelids lift. Where am I...?

I get up. There's sand in my hair. And under my dress. And between my toes. I look up. The sun's shining. The strong winds are gone. It's nice and warm.

My head hurts, though. Something feels wrong with it. Something -- someone feels gone.

"...Ngh." I grunt, slowly getting up from my bed. I must've had a bad dream of some kind.

"Everything okay? You've been sleeping for a while." Ikuko tells me.

"I'm fine. Just... my head kinda hurts. What time is it?"

"Uh," she glances over at the time on the computer. "A little over midnight. We came back from Ange's a few hours ago."

"Is that so...?" I say, lying back down.

"How... do you feel?"

"Good. Better. Way better. I don't, I-- It feels almost like... he's gone. Battler, I mean. I... I'm not really scared anymore."

"That's wonderful to hear. It's a shame you worried for all those years, and in the end the exact opposite ended up happening."

Prologue

"...Hm? Who goes there?" A voice speaks to you from the other side of the room. Where exactly 'the room' you're in is, you have no idea. Your memory is a blur. For thepast few minutes, you've been trying to get your bearings. Recall how you'd gotten to this strange place. But it just wasn't coming to you. And worse yet -- the more you thought about it -- you realized that you couldn't remember what day it was. Or the days leading up to your current predicament. Or your childhood. Or your name.

Somehow, it appears, you've lost your memory.

"Aah. I see." The voice speaks once more. As you finally muster the strength to lift your head, you see that the source is that of a beautiful blonde woman. One you don't recognize. Well, no surprise there, right? "Another guest, it seems. And one with no memory. What shame! ...Or should I consider this a blessing?" She lets out a quiet laugh. Followed by an elongated sigh. "...No. People like you can never truly be considered a blessing, can they...?" She wasn't making any sense.

You try to speak, but words simply refuse to come out. "Don't bother talking." She says simply. "You lack the proper form for such privilege." Another laugh. "...Oh, come now. Don't look at me like that. I'm not the one who put you in this position."

Who has, though?

"No clue." It's as if she's reading your mind. "What I do know, however, is that by some fate, you've wound up on my door. What a curse upon your soul must lie!" A giggle. "...Well then. Shall we begin? Surely, you don't want to drag this out?"

Begin what? Drag what out?

The definition of 'locked' in the case of this door only states that the lock was engaged, not that it was performing its function. It had been tampered with previously such that it would appear locked but the door would still open. This was done by someone who was definitely in the room prior to then, per narration. Jessica.

The door needn't be closed in order to lock it. As long as it's not a dead bolt, it's possible to lock the door before it closes, then close the door, with no one being the wiser.

Also, the door can be locked without using a key.
