“Among the human world there is some kind of special thing about birthdays, that is the day you were born, to me a witch this seems silly. But humans do seem to like them, so allow me to spin a birthday tale.

This is the story of the birthday of someone who goes by the name Black Witch Rosa online, just a silly name for a guy to pick. So for all intents and purposes his name shall be Rosa when I am referring to him all other humans shall keep the same names since their identity is not important to hide. This story is a work of fiction, hopefully, as Rosa is still alive as of now.”

He pulled open the glass door and entered inside, he smiled at his co-workers as they went about their business. Karly and Haley both were at the front counter and greeted him as he smiled at them. Sean was currently slacking off in between orders as there wasn't much else to do. Anita the manager was checking off the daily close checklist.

It was normal work day, just a normal Wednesday, but that was actually far from the truth as it was his birthday, yes it was Rosa's birthday, but none of his coworkers really knew that, he hadn't mentioned it to anyone accept for Anita, though it was about to come out.

“Hey, Haley.” He said as he approached the front counter and stood in front of the register.

“Getting your usual?” Haley asked.

Rosa was a predictable soul, he almost always ordered the same thing to eat, it was always either 2 spicy chicken, fish or a rodeo chicken. He was a creature of routine and habit, so as such he never really strayed away from his norm, he was in a sense boring that way, but he was also safe, boring, and well upstanding. Or at least that is how he viewed himself, and apparently so did the higher ups since they promoted him from a standard team member to a Closer a few months back, despite a lot of his co-workers having been working for far longer without a promotion or even a raise. Though he wanted more than that, secretly he wasn't happy with just being a Closer, he wanted that manager position, this was not really a secret to his co-workers either.

But before he could answer the door op

The culprit...is Ginger!

Ginger had determined that she would get to work on a Wednesday, not a Friday. But you can't just walk in and demand a shift in a work environment. The only chance you have is if one of your co-workers are sick...or dead.

What's the evidence that Ginger did these heinous deeds? The truth is in the bananas. Even though Ginger already has an assortment of bananas with her, she asks for a "banana ripple cone.” Why? Because her bananas are lethal! She's also the only one who didn't act surprised at knowing Rosa's birthday, even though Rosa never told her.

I'm sorry, Rosa. It was the bananas that did you in. Rest in piece.

That is correct.

This was all based on facts actually gathered from my co-workers and mostly quotes from them. Fun fact, Ginger said about her shift the night before to me and she actually did come in and demand a shift from our store manager, he allowed her to work that day. (yesterday/today)

Also another creepy fun fact, when I went into work yesterday/today, Haley and Karly were the two people at the front counter and Ginger came in, Haley also tried to get me to order a spicy and Ginger got a banana smoothie before starting her shift.

"Whether your piece died instantly or you passed at, you weren't in a position to know anything more than you did."

"I have a question," Bernkastel raises her hand. "The culprit. Are you really going to try and make us believe that it's some mysterious extra person?"

"Is that important?" I look at the ceiling above me. "Very well. The culprit is someone that Amy and Ozaki saw in the course of the game. In other words, the culprit is either Krauss, Natsuhi, Jessica, Dr. Nanjo, Gohda, Kumasawa, Genji, Eva, Hideyoshi, George, Battler, Rudolf, Kyrie, Maria, Rosa, Ozaki, or Amy. Nobody apart from those 17 people on the island are the culprit. There is only one culprit."

Theories presented in the game each had their flaws. Kumasawa did not lock the door to Krauss's study, nor was her key taken from her. Genji did not give up his key, either.

In the gold room, you found Maria's corpse. You saw a red proclaimed that the person who killed Maria did not exit up the stairs. I'll also say that that person did not escape through the trap door immediately after killing Maria.

That's all I have to say."

"Excellent," Bernkastel says. "With how long bureaucracy takes, it should be just about time to get this show on the road."

"What are you talking about, Bernkastel?"

Three extra people appear in the tea party room.

"Ange Ushiromiya, you are under arrest for the production of an illegal FORGERY."

"What?" I look at Bernkastel. "You..."

"I'm just doing my duty as an upstanding citizen. You might want to run."

"This isn't over, Bernkastel."

I disappear. They follow.

Bernkastel floats proudly in the air. "I think that went well. With the withdrawal of its game master, rule of the board transfers to me. I could be greedy and just stay with my original plan to keep the board halted in oblivion, but perhaps I've gotten too generous over the years. I want to give this game board a fair shake and see what pops out.

Let's begin. Send in those theories! The game is afoot!"

This is my third game, and it's my most ambitious yet. This may either fail horribly or be a blast to play. All I humbly request is that my game be seen to the very end.

A disclaimer: No prior knowledge of the following characters nor the anime which they come from is required to solve this mystery.

Without further ado, let's begin.

>By the time I got to the corridor, only Haruki was still outside her room. She appeared to be busy testing her key on Kouko's room.

Something was pushed into the lock from outside the room. That way, Kouko wouldn't have noticed anything wrong when she tried to lock the door.

Something jammed the lock such that when Kouko turned the lock, she didn't lock the door properly.

The little girl slain by an invisible hand

This one's a little murky, isn't it? Your task is to find a logical way how she died, because Hitsugi was as cautious as the others. She wouldn't have gotten poisoned easily.

That red is fairly vague. I'm having doubts if this death would merit a three theory limit, but I'll play along.

Whatever killed her was introduced to her body before she started eating(ie a slow acting poison). Perhaps it wasn't even ingested and entered via other means such as injection, or simply ingesting something other than the meal we have been shown.

While we are at it can we get confirmation that this is a murder?

The second thread of my game with Kinjo. Yes that is right, the second thread.

Hmm? "I can't find the first thread" you say? Perfectly understandable. I'll explain.

On October 5th a radio signal was heard coming from Rokkenjima. Police were sent to investigate and confirmed a murder had occurred. Kinjo quickly rushed to the scene with a team of men to investigate however the storm picked up again preventing any reinforcements from getting to the island. Before the storm cleared up disaster struck! Who knows what happened next?

Let us resume the game and find out.

Now that the game is over you can read the first thread here.

Oh good, I've remembered everything? Then I should also remember the wounds on each body. After all, I had them photographed for a reason..

I recall the photographs depicting the wounds for each and every victim, one last time.

Battler didn't die. The corpse that was found wearing the white suit in the chapel was Kinzo's, who was murdered before the game started. He was murdered by Krauss, who returned to the dining hall, barricaded the door, and died from the gunshot wounds. Battler had shot Krauss in self-defense at the very end, and then ran away through the underground tunnels and survived the Rokkenjima Incident, while Krauss, the culprit, did not.

Well you are correct that Battler shot someone, and that the body was someone elses; however the body is not of Kinzo. Krauss is not the culprit, Battler is.

With that being said I will explain the solution.

The answer is basically the old 'Battler really isn't Battler" solution. He was hired by Kyrie and Rudolf to pose as their son. While on the island he discovered the gold by solving the epitaph and also found Shannon getting ready to kill everyone.

Shannon handed over the bank card full of money(after all the gold pile was said to be uneven) and after some discussion the fake Battler convinced her to help with killing everyone anyway, after all with this much money he didn't need Kyrie and Rudolf.

He showed Kyrie and Rudolf the gold and money to get them on his side and they went to the dining room where all the adults and Genji were. With Kyrie and Rudolf help they shot everyone there, and then Shannon and Battler shot them in the back of the head. Gohda and Kanon were in the kitchen so they killed them as well.

Shannon convinced Battler to allow her to set up crime scenes in weird ways as well as hand over the rifle he was using(he agreed since he had brought a hand gun anyway). Battler went back to the guesthouse and pretended everything was fine. Shannon called Jessica out and killed her. Then started to set up the first few rooms, Genji and Rosa were in the dining room as well and were moved with the garbage bags in the trash can in order to not spill blood. She then called again asking for Battler's help when George picked up, George didn't like Shannon and Battler getting so close and told Battler that they were needed at the garden shed.

Once there George asked him about Shannon and what have you so Battler laughed which caused th

This is my second game, and I'll try to make it a good one. It's a more complicated mystery.

- The format is a standard blue and red battle. Post a theory in blue, I'll counter with the red.

-Any number of people can participate.

-You have to find the whodunnit, and the howdunnit.

Also, Genji is the detective.

Without any further ado, let's begin.

Kinzo Ushiromiya was ill, bad tempered and above all very, very mad.

Genji locked the ladder in the gardening shed after using it. The ladder was not involved in the murder.

Well then.

The culprit used the phone cord of the wall-mounted phone, or some other cable-like object in the room, to climb out of the window.

Oh and about that error thing.
The culprit put something between the doorframe when Genji brought Kinzo his meal. To keep it open for the murder later.

Later it was still in the door causing an ERROR. After seeing this the culprit secretly removed it.

Wha - I was defeated in one fell swoop?!

It's close enough. Here's the full solution. Rudolf was the culprit, and after secretly following Genji up when serving his Master's meal, Rudolf used the economics booklet mentioned earlier to prop the door open for later. Once Genji had left Rudolf entered and shot Kinzo, however upon finding that it failed quickly took the telephone cord and strangled Kinzo to death with it.

He then tied the cord to the desk and climbed down to the first floor, reaching the parlor just in time for Genji to see him. When they all went up to the study and Gohda typed the code, it indeed showed error because the door wasn't fully closed. When Rudolf typed the code he kicked the booklet away and closed the door and managed to get the keypad working. Since Rudolf was the first one in he managed to remove the booklet and the cord before anyone could properly examine them.

Good job. Til the next time.

Heh, so everything the killer used was actually mentioned in the narrative. Good job.

The red about the window being impossible to climb out of threw me off since I assumed this included any possible equipment. I'll make sure to ask for clarification next time. Until then.
