The "Ultimate Hope"...

...

An existence like that might embody hope for others, but something tells me that for the person in question, it would only be "despair".

...I can't remember what that something is.

After all, we're made up of our memories. And not all of them. Can you expect pitiful humans like us to remember everything?

What I'm saying is, even the person I am now is an incomplete record of memories. Trash like that can't be trusted to do the right thing to start with.

Not really. It's the same group of people doing the same things that they always did, just using a more convenient format. /seacats/ is still alive in every way that matters.

Doing things other than they normally did in a worse format.

Of course /seacats/ died when ib4f admin went to Mexico. To be technical it died every moment of every day before, and kept doing that afterward.

But since we never take notice of the small things, the point we're concerned with is when those deaths build up so much that it's despair-inducingly obvious even to us that the new thing isn't close the old thing any more.

If you say so. I'm only here for /gameboard/ anyway, so I wouldn't know, but it seems like most of the /teaparty/ people seem to be okay with it. I have no idea what they're doing in there, but the level of activity, at least, is incredibly high. Certainly far from 'dead' by my estimation.
